WHY INSPIRED PARIS?
Diane had already made a name for herself as a luxury travel planner and Sylvia was an established travel writer when the two women met in 2021. They bonded over their passion for French art, history and culture. It wasn’t surprising that they had both created careers designed to share the quirkier parts of Paris with clients and readers.
Being fluent in French, both women reveled in their adventures of meeting Parisian artists and partying with local sommeliers. One day, after visiting the Paris Fashion Week set for DIOR, they came up with the idea of helping others have the same privileged experiences they found so inspiring.
And so began Inspired Paris, a travel services company dedicated to opening doors and creating access to a Paris visitors rarely see.
MEET SYLVIA
Sylvia Sabes is a Franco-American journalist and award-winning photographer for publications including AFAR magazine, BBC Travel and LUXE City Guide. She has an insatiable curiosity for the world and nothing makes her happier than sharing her discoveries with others. Twenty years ago she immigrated to France to write about art, culture, food, and fashion. Sylvia splits her time between the Rive Gauche and the Basque region and is currently finishing her first novel.

MEET DIANE
Diane Sakakini-Rao is an American luxury travel planner who has been spending as much time as possible in Paris and throughout France since 1980. Her focus is on food, wine, history and off-the-beaten-path destinations and experiences which she loves to share with others. Diane has led several small group food and wine tours in both Italy and France. Diane splits her time between Paris and Boston.
